Mr. Sullivan is a founder of Torch Hill Investment Partners, a private equity firm based in Washington DC, that provides growth capital for domestic and international companies that play vital roles in defense, intelligence and civil and corporate security.
Mr. Sullivan brings significant financial and operating experience to the Torch Hill Team. He has held senior operating positions in companies ranging from start-ups to large multinationals. He began his career as an Army Intelligence officer serving with combat units in Southeast Asia. After graduate school Mr. Sullivan joined Booz Allen Hamilton where he was a member of the Financial Institutions Group based in New York and London. Subsequently, he joined the American Express Company in the Strategic Planning group and later headed the Card business for the company and corporate markets.
Prior to founding Torch Hill in 2005, Mr. Sullivan served as an operating partner with several private equity and venture capital firms. While his focus at Torch Hill includes deal origination and execution, he is the lead partner coordinating strategic initiatives involving the portfolio companies as well as chairing the Investment Committee. Mr. Sullivan is a director of Diamondback Tactical, TradeBeam China and Jameson. Mr. Sullivan holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Virginia.
